The 10th Annual IC3 Conference & Expo in Mumbai was more than a gathering of educators, counselors, universities, and organizations. It was a moment to pause, look back at a decade of collective work, and reflect on what it takes to help every student navigate education, careers, and life with greater clarity and purpose.
Since the first Annual IC3 Conference in 2016, with just 285 participants, the IC3 Movement has grown into a global community of educators, universities, organizations, and volunteers working toward a shared vision: Counselling & Well-being in Every School, Purpose for Every Child.
The 10th Annual IC3 Conference & Expo, held on 19 and 20 August 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, gave this community an opportunity to celebrate that journey and explore what the next decade could look like.
The scale of this year's gathering reflected the growing global conversation around career and college counseling, student well-being, higher education, and the future of education.

Behind every number was a person who chose to be part of the conversation, a school looking to strengthen its counseling practice, a university building new connections, or an educator exploring new ways to support students.
Together, these participants created a space where perspectives from schools, universities, organizations, and different parts of the world could meet, question, learn, and collaborate.
The theme of the 10th Annual IC3 Conference & Expo, “Looking Deeply - From Information to Insight,” captured a challenge that has become increasingly important in education.
Students today have unprecedented access to information. They can research universities, explore careers, compare courses, understand admissions requirements, and find answers to countless questions within seconds.
But access to information does not automatically lead to clarity.
The role of career and college counseling is therefore evolving. It is not simply about helping students find information or identify opportunities. It is also about helping them understand themselves, evaluate possibilities, ask meaningful questions, and make decisions that align with who they are and what they hope to become.
Across the 10th Annual IC3 Conference & Expo, conversations explored this evolving role of counseling alongside student well-being, higher education pathways, technology and AI, changing careers, and the future of education.
At the heart of these conversations was a simple idea: education is not only about preparing students to succeed academically. It is also about helping them develop the self-awareness, confidence, and sense of purpose to navigate an increasingly complex world.
Ten years of IC3 cannot be attributed to one institution, one team, or one conference.
The Movement has grown through the contributions of educators who volunteered their time, counselors who shared their practices, school leaders who opened their doors, universities that collaborated with schools, organizations that supported the mission, and countless individuals who believed that counseling should be an integral part of education.
The IC3 community has continued to grow because the need is shared.
Schools are navigating changing student expectations. Universities are adapting to new pathways and possibilities. Counselors are supporting students through increasingly complex academic and career decisions. And educators are recognising that student well-being and career guidance are deeply connected to the educational experience.
The 10th Annual IC3 Conference was an opportunity to bring all these perspectives together.
The conference brought together 1,122 high school delegates, 562 university delegates, and 238 organization delegates, creating opportunities for dialogue across the education ecosystem.
For first-time participants, it was an introduction to a community that has been building the field of career and college counseling for a decade.
For those who have been part of IC3 for years, it was a chance to reconnect with colleagues, revisit shared ideas, and reflect on how much the conversation has evolved.
And for everyone in the room, it was a reminder that meaningful change in education rarely happens in isolation.
It happens through relationships.
Through conversations between a counselor and a university representative.
Through a school leader learning from another school.
Through educators sharing what worked, what did not, and what they are still figuring out.
Through partnerships that begin with a conversation and eventually create new opportunities for students.
The closing of the 10th Annual IC3 Conference & Expo does not mark the end of this journey. It creates an opportunity to take the conversations forward in new ways.
As IC3 enters its next decade, the Movement is creating more spaces for educators, counselors, universities, and other stakeholders to connect, learn, and collaborate throughout the year.
One of these next chapters is the IC3 Regional Camp - South Asia, taking place on 22 and 23 January 2027 at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), Sonipat, Haryana.
The Regional Camp introduces a more immersive format for professional learning and community building.
Designed as an immersive, back-to-school experience for educators, the two-day camp will bring together principals, counselors, teachers, university representatives, industry leaders, government delegates, and other education stakeholders.
The focus extends beyond formal sessions. Participants will have opportunities for dialogue, networking, campus experiences, well-being activities, workshops, and relationship building, creating space for conversations that can continue long after the camp ends.
The 2027 theme, “Co-Creation,” explores how students, parents, educators, counselors, universities, communities, and technology can work together to create more meaningful educational experiences and possibilities for learners.

Explore the IC3 Regional Camp - South Asia
Ten years ago, IC3 began with an idea that was both simple and ambitious: career and college counseling should be accessible to every student.
Over the years, that conversation has expanded. Today, it encompasses counseling and well-being, purpose, student agency, higher education, changing career pathways, technology, employability, and the relationships that help young people navigate all of them.
The 10th Annual IC3 Conference & Expo offered a moment to celebrate how far this community has come.
It also offered a chance to ask what comes next.
If the first decade was about building awareness and creating a global community around career and college counseling, the next decade can be about deepening that work, strengthening relationships, and turning shared insight into sustained action.
The journey continues, not with one conference or one initiative, but through the educators, counselors, schools, universities, and organizations that continue to show up for students.
Ten years behind us. A new decade ahead. And a community ready to build it together.
